Did you hear a loud noise? It’s the sound of a building boom going on here in Bryan-College Station. I recently reported the growth of restaurants in our area, with 867 permits filed so far this year. But we’re seeing more than appetites being fed here.
More than $20 million in new development has risen up in south College Station. The 13,000 square-foot Scott & White Clinic recently opened here, with 12 exam rooms, lab, pharmacy services, and five, full-time family medicine practitioners on staff. This healthcare facility follows the opening of the St. Joseph Emergency Center and Outpatient Diagnostic Center that opened here last November. That 15,000 square-foot facility represents a $12 million investment, critical to serving the needs of our growing community.
We’re also seeing new retail stores emerge. A new H-E-B will be opening in September. At 88,0000 square feet, this store will be the largest in the region. That opening comes just a month after the opening of a new Lowe’s store.
With all this new construction, which includes homes as well, you have to believe that Bryan-College Station is a growing community with a strong infrastructure. Maybe now is a good time to consider making your move to an area that is clearly “on the move”. Stylecraft Builders can show you how easy and affordable it is to move into a new home here.
