It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like… FALL in Killeen/Fort Hood, Texas!

Stylecraft Builders’ Yowell Ranch residents in the Killeen/Harker Heights/Fort Hood area are lucky to live in a community that is dedicated to “enhancing, promoting, and providing parks, recreation facilities, and programs to all citizens for a better quality of life.” With all the fall and October related activities they are sponsoring, it’s hard not to feel that fall is in the air, even if the weather doesn’t always cooperate!

On Saturday, October 27^th, citizens can help scare away Polio as they race for a cause in the 5K and 10K Monster Dash. The race begins at 8 a.m. at Carl Levin Park. Registration is $20 and includes a T-shirt and refreshments after the race. There is even a Little Monsters Dash beginning at 9:30 a.m. for children ages 10 and under. No registration or payment is required, and every child will receive a medal! This “dash” is sure to be entertaining as children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes!

Another event for the whole family will be the official Killeen Halloween Carnival on October 31^st, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It promises to be a “spooktacular” time with face painting, free candy, bounce houses, games, pumpkin patch, pie eating contest, and much more! Don’t miss out on this free celebration located at the Special Events Center.

A Fall “Spring-Cleaning” in Killeen/Fort Hood
